A custom wedding dress is a gown that is unique to you and your personality, taking
time, love, and passion to create.
Our first meeting
The first step to creating the dress of your dreams is our meeting at my Atelier. This is the moment for the bride to communicate to me how she envisions herself in her perfect wedding look: prefered colors, style, fit, etc.
The right choice
When it comes to choosing your dress, you can choose from the dresses from my collection, or we can collaborate to design an exclusive tailored gown just for you. Together we will decide on the pattern, fabric, color and embroidery of your dress.
Taking measurements
One of the most important moments is taking measurements, so that your dress fits you perfectly. Together we will decided on the length of the dress, seams and more.
The perfect fit
Your wedding dress is a gown that should fits you perfectly. You want to your dress to fit snugly but still be comfortable, so that you not only look beautiful but you feel beautiful on your wedding day. This is the reason why I will follow all the traditional tailoring rules.
Cut and Tuck
When the pattern is ready, it’s time work with the fabric. Each dress is sewn with a special thread called “basting thread.” This kind of temporary seam is useful for your first fitting so that we can easily make adjustments.
The final touches
Once you are happy with the fit of the dress, it is time to seam it permanently. I take my time to make sure that your dress is sewn to perfection.
Dress fittings
Most brides try on their dress three times before it is complete. During our final fitting, I will adjust the hem so we can decide on the final length of the dress.
Needlepoint
Each leaf and petal on your dress is created with a colourless fabric which will then be hand-painted. Once dry, each piece is individually cut and applied to create a dress that is unique to you.
Embroidering
Depending on the desired pattern, it is possible to embroider directly on the fabric. The work is very detailed and requires high precision. Needlepoint can be added on the dress subsequently.
